Best Exercises For Dads: Dumbbell Squat

Another great exercise for Dad’s is the Dumbbell Squat.

The traditional Barbell Squat is one of the best overall exercises for people who want to get in shape but the Dumbbell Squat is a much better exercise if you’re focused on building natural or functional strength.

Why is the Dumbbell Squat better at building functional strength than the Barbell Squat?

Well, when was the last time you had something heavy across your shoulders and had to squat down? Probably not recently.

The Dumbbell Squat better emulates a more natural and functional type of movement, especially the type of movements we do all the time as fathers like picking our kids up.
