I’ve wanted to spice up my protein shakes for a while now.
Cheers Tim!
I was just wondering, what kind of protein do you use? Is it just straight protein, or is is flavored?
Hi Gary, I use Optimum Nutrition’s Natural 100% Whey Gold Standard http://www.optimumnutrition.com/products/natural-100-whey-gold-standard-p-202.html. I use Vanilla because it goes well with fruit/vegetables. Sometimes I will use the Chocolate flavor with Banana or Almond Butter or both as a healthy replacement for dessert. I like it because it’s 100% natural, tastes great and it’s one of the more cost effective proteins on the market.
Awesome! Glad you liked it Allan.
Tim, what’s your favorite protein powder to use?

You’ve got some of my favotite combinations. I actually had a kale strawberry watermelon banana this morning.
If you like chocolate, you may want to try: dark choc cocoa powder, frozen banana, avocado, whey (i use unflavored), and maybe a little coconut oil and a touch of peanut butter. If it’s not sweet enough sometimes i add stevia.
Thanks Jack! I like the sound of your shake. I actually make one very similar but without the Avocado and Peanut Butter. Sounds good though! And Stevia rocks for extra sweetness!
