If you’re trying to cut carbs it’s really helpful to at least start out by using an App to help you keep track of how many carbs are in the foods you are eating.

Fortunately, there are a bunch of apps out there to help you accomplish this task fairly easily.

To save you time and help you choose the right app for you, I’ve listed the seven most popular apps for tracking carbs below along with a brief overview:

  1. MyFitnessPal: This is a comprehensive app that allows you to track not only your carbohydrate intake, but also other macronutrients, calories, and exercise. Check out my article How To Track Carbs With MyFitnessPal for a more thorough review of how to track carbs with MyFitnessPal.
  2. LoseIt!: This app lets you track your carbohydrate intake as well as other nutrients, and provides a barcode scanner for easy input of packaged foods.
  3. Carb Manager: This app is specifically designed for tracking carbohydrates and provides detailed information about the carb content of foods, as well as tracking for other nutrients.
  4. Cronometer: This app is geared towards tracking all macronutrients, including carbohydrates, and offers a database of over 300,000 foods.
  5. FatSecret: This app provides nutrition information for a wide range of foods, including restaurant meals, and allows you to track your carbohydrate intake as well as other nutrients.
  6. MyNetDiary: MyNetDiary is a free user-friendly app that tracks carbs, calories, and other nutrients. It offers a barcode scanner, meal planning, and goal setting features.
  7. Senza: This app is designed specifically for tracking carbohydrates and offers a barcode scanner, meal planning features, and a community for support and accountability.
  8. YAZIO: Yazio is a simple and intuitive app for tracking carbs and calories. It offers personalized plans, progress tracking, and a food diary.
